Shipping

How much does shipping cost ?

Under normal circumstances, shipping is free for all orders over $75 before taxes and after promotions. Otherwise, the cost is fixed at $9.95+taxes anywhere in Canada or the United States!

I reach the $75 requirement to get free shipping, but I still see the shipping charges applied in my cart. Why is this?

Shipping is free with any purchase of $75 or more, before taxes and after promotions. So don't forget to subtract the amount of the discount from the subtotal in order to see the actual amount to pay.

Who is your carrier?
We have been working with Canada Post for years as well as with Nationex. We make sure to select the appropriate transport that will be able to make a fast & efficient delivery from our House to yours.

What is your order preparation/delivery time?
Our order preparation time is generally a few hours and up to 3 days. We make it our goal (and great pleasure) to be extra fast. Your package is then picked up by one of our carriers, and their delay is about 2 to 5 business days. As soon as it is in their hands, we send you an email to notify you and send you a tracking number.

If you have selected a pick-up in Saint-Eustache, you will receive an email to notify you. All you have to do is wait for it to come & get your package at the Maison-mère.

I received the shipping confirmation email, so the tracking number from Canada Post as well, but it tells me that it is not valid. Why is this?

Our carriers always estimate a 24 hour delay before this number is active so that you can track the journey of your package to your Home.

How far are you delivering?
We deliver everywhere in Canada & now also in the United States!

Orders

I made a mistake in the shipping address when I placed my order. What can I do?

Just write a short email to boutiqueenligne@maisonlavande.ca (with your order number and the correct shipping address ultra complete).

MY ORDER IS A GIFT. HOW DO I PROCEED?

First, enter the shipping address of the person you are giving the gift to if you want the order to be delivered directly to their home.

You can add any products to your cart and check the" this is a gift" box under the listed items. You can add a
personalized note for the person you wish to send this sweet gift to. Ps. Don't forget to sign that note!

I would like to change my order.

If you've completed your order and want to add something you forgot, it is best to call us at the warehouse. (450-473-3009 ext. 1022) so that we can adjust it quickly before the order is processed.

The girls at the online store will be able to check if it is still possible to make additions, then put together a new invoice and attach it to your initial order.

Note that it is not always possible to make changes. Once the order is processed, it is challenging for us to track down your package (as it may even already be in the hands of the carrier).

There is an error in the order I received. What should I do?

First, our sincere apologies. You can send an email to boutiqueenligne@maisonlavande.ca - with your order number and a picture of the products you received. We can rectify the situation quickly.

It's winter and my products have frozen in my mailbox. Is this a concern?

Not at all. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal for products to freeze when exposed to such temperatures. Before our products hit the shelves, they go through tests. We subject our formulations to extreme heat and cold and measure their effectiveness after such shocks; these tests allow our products to obtain approval from Health Canada. So all there is to do is wait for the products to thaw before you can use them effectively.

Fields

HOW LONG CAN WE ENJOY THE FIELDS?
Our lavender fields will be open until August 21, 2022. Follow us on our social media to know the evolution of the blooming period.

The store remains open all year long (!!!) Every day, from 10am to 5pm

When is the best time to see the fields in full bloom?
Only nature can decide this and the best dates vary every year depending on the winter we had, the number of hours of sunshine, the wind, the rain, etc. But generally speaking, the first few weeks of July hold the most flowers!

How much does a visit cost?
Check the tarification page to verify the cost of admission based on your age and seasonality.

DO YOU ACCEPT THE COMPANION LEISURE CARD?
Yes, with great joy! Simply present it at the entrance of the ticket office when you are an accompanying person & you will be allowed to enter the lavender fields without any entrance fee. It is imperative to present the card (CAL).

Why is there an entrance fee to the fields?

Because our Maison Lavande is privately owned by a family who has chosen to share its beauty with the public. Over 30 employees work there every day to keep the lavender fields beautiful, accessible, safe and clean. The number of employees this year is higher than in previous years, even without any animation or activities.

Managing an agri-tourism site like ours is a challenge that requires a lot of hands.

Your entrance fee goes to pay the salaries of those who warmly welcome you, gently guide you and make this place into the beauty it is.

Can my dog accompany me?
Yes, or course. A leash is mandatory and your sense of civic responsibility is required. The unpleasant or dangerous behavior of a dog may lead us to ask the owner to leave the premises. (We also accept other small and friendly animals that can be kept on a leash). Pets are not allowed in the store.

I'm a photographer & I'd like to take beautiful pictures in your dream setting. How do I go about it?
It is possible to come to make your photo sessions in our fields. As we don't take any reservation, you just have to go to the reception and pay your entrance fees. (Each person who enters the site must pay their entry fee)

The field is open to all and as it is very large, there is room for everyone. The blooming period starts at the end of June and usually ends at the very beginning of August.

Can I fly a drone over the lavender fields?
No, unfortunately. The use of drones is prohibited at La Maison Lavande.

I would like to rent the site after hours. Is this possible?
Unfortunately, it is not possible. Our Maison Lavande is a private property where our family welcomes you 7 days a week with great happiness.

I would like to get married at La Maison Lavande! Is it a possibility?

Thank you so much for thinking of us for this most magical day. Unfortunately, we do not offer an on-site wedding ceremony/reception service.

We do admit that the plan to host your celebrations in our home is something we continuously think of (a lot), but we must juggle with several challenges that are explained here: https://www.maisonlavande.ca/blogs/blog/pourquoi-ny-a-t-il-pas-de-mariage-a-la-maison-lavande-why-is-there-no-wedding-at-maison-lavande?_pos=2&_sid=48d589d1f&_ss=r

On the other hand, if you wish to have a dream setting for your photos, it is quite possible to come and take your photos at La Maison.

No reservations are necessary. All you have to do is stop by and pay for your tickets. The field is open to everyone and since it is so large, there is room for everyone.

Can we picnic in your fields?

Yes, you can bring your own lunch & take a moment to eat in the middle of our flowery fields. Our bistro is open for refreshments during the high season (lemonade, iced coffee & lavender frozen yogurt). We have tables and chairs available, but you are welcome to bring your blankets if you feel like stretching out a bit!

Is the giant swing accessible?

Our swing is always in the fields, on the outskirts. So it's accessible when our fields are too!

Do you have bathroom facilities on site?
Yes, full indoor facilities (where the soap smells divine!).

Do you control the number of people in the field?
Yes and no. Our site is large, we have a large capacity. If all visitors are respectful of each other, we feel that all should be well (in the 13 years of our existence, it has always been well, promise!).

Of course, we reserve the right to close the lavender fields if we feel that the traffic threatens the health and safety of visitors.

WHEN IS THE HIGH SEASON/BLOOMING OVER?
The season ends when we harvest our flowers, which is really up to Mother Nature (and maybe Daniel a little bit). We usually gather the flowers at the very beginning of August.

We would love to keep our beautiful purple patches for months, but we have to listen to our beloved flowers and harvest them before they wilt.

Can I bring my reusable food containers to the Bistro?
Yes, you can.

Products

I have trouble lighting my candle. It lights up for a few seconds and then goes out. Why does this happen?

Soy wax candles can sometimes seem somewhat temperamental. Let's say they require a little more patience. We recommend taking a long lighter and holding fire onto the wick, even if it seems lit (I would say a good 10 to 15 seconds more!).

Otherwise, you can try to cut the end of the wick. This sometimes helps the flame to set a little lower and start properly. Remember that the wick is actually a small piece of wood. So, a bit like a campfire, you have to work the wood properly, and you may even have to do this little process once, twice, maybe three times. I promise that it gets easier and easier after that when you get the hang of it!

Also, contrary to popular belief, soy wax can actually help the wick burn. So it's totally fine if there's a little wax on it; it won't shield the wick from the fire, but rather help the fire to start instead. And last but not least, candles have what you might call "muscle memory". From the first time it is lit, it is essential to let the wax melt to the edges of the glass. If you blow it out and the wax freezes without reaching the edges, there is a much greater chance that the candle will memorize that circumference and burn down into that area only.

My candle is almost finished, but it won't light. Why is that?

Our wooden wicks stand on a base at the bottom of the pot. Therefore, it is entirely normal for a small amount of wax to be left at the very end. This is taken into consideration when pouring the amount/calculating the number of hours in action.

We recommend burning the candle for as long as possible when you see that the wax is almost finished so that you don't have to blow it out and require it to solidify again. If you don't stay on the lookout and then blow out the candle when the wick is almost gone, there is little to no chance to light it again. If you can still see a bit of wick on the metal base at the bottom of the candle, you can try to light it again for one last time.

Our trick is to start by slowly melting the wax around the wick with a long lighter (we always recommend this type of lighter for lighting our candles!). The wax that will have started to melt around the base and the wick will help the wood burn. Yup, you read that right. Contrary to popular belief, the wax allows the wood to burn. So with a bit of patience, you may be able to light your candle for one last relaxing moment. Then you can start over with a new candle from one of your favourite collections or even discover a brand new one altogether!"

Are your products natural?

Our products are always at least 95% natural, and transparency is important to us. Our products are as natural as possible while still being able to guarantee a minimum of stability.

For us, it is a priority that the customer keeps his product for at least one year without the smell, the colour, the texture or the quality being affected. The ingredients chosen are high quality and never harmful to our health. We have decided to add preservatives in the majority of our formulations to ensure stability and protect our products used on the skin from bacteria. Raw materials are a daily issue, and we make a point of continuously gaining new knowledge about any new natural alternatives available on the market.

I'm pregnant and have heard several opinions about using lavender during pregnancy. I'm a little confused. What do you think?

While there is no specific danger, per se, in using lavender while pregnant, there are many schools of thought on the subject that we ask our valued customers to refer to a health care professional to make an informed decision on the matter. This way, your doctor will be able to issue recommendations based on your pregnancy and needs precisely.

Essential oils vs. fragrance oils. What is the difference?

Essential oils are oils extracted from plants that have therapeutic or medicinal properties in addition to smelling heavenly. On the other hand, fragrance oils are sweet combinations of synthetic fragrances. They do not have healing properties but are used to create ambiance in the home and add a dash of perfume to any room!

These two types of oils can be used on dryer balls and in electric diffusers if only a few drops are used. Both are highly concentrated. It's only up to you to discover your favorite oil!

What about the products that were once offered in bulk at the St. Eustatius boutique?
This service was paused at the very beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately, there are no plans to reinstall these stations at the moment. For your information, we used to fill your bottles with laundry detergent, Pure Lavender all purpose cleaner & dish soap.

We have since created generous sizes so you can fill the bottles with your favorite products.

Returns

Do you accept returns?
As indicated in our policies, purchases made on our online store are final sales. As such, if products are not defective, we do not issue refunds or exchanges.

As indicated in our policies, purchases made on our online store are final sales. As such, if products are not defective, we do not issue refunds or exchanges.

What is the Cyberweekend?
Cyberweekend is our biggest offer of the year (!!!) From Saturday November 27th to Monday November 29th (inclusively), we offer you 30% off EVERYTHING*. Just enter the promotional code CYBERWEEKEND in the box dedicated to this purpose in the checkout process.

Can I benefit from this offer in your physical stores?
Cyberweekend is an online-only event, so unfortunately it is not possible to benefit from this discount in our different small stores.

I have another discount in my cart and the promo code does not apply. Why?
As mentioned in the terms of use of our promotions, it is unfortunately not possible to combine different offers. Our system only allows us to apply one gift at a time!

I reach $75 and they always add a fee for shipping. Why?
Shipping is free for all orders of $75 or more before taxes and after discounts. So don't forget to subtract the "Discount" line to see if you really reach the $75 threshold.

One of the products I would like to add to my order is out of stock. Can I get the discount when it comes back?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the availability of products in stock. If a product that is currently out of stock returns after the promotional period has ended, it will not be possible to apply the Cyberweekend discount.

I placed an order before this promotion started and I would like to benefit from it still. Is this possible?
In order to be fair to everyone who placed an order before or after the promotional period, it is unfortunately not possible to apply this discount to a previous order. If you want to take advantage of Cyberweekend, you will have to place a new order.

I can no longer find the gift packages on the website. Are they still available?
For the Cyberweekend, the gift sets have been removed from our online store. This decision was made to avoid any potential computer problems.

Furthermore, the discount offered by the CYBERWEEKEND promotional code is even more advantageous than the reduced prices of our packages.

If I order today, when can I expect to receive my order?
We have a very high volume of orders at the moment (thank you very much!!), which means that our order preparation time is a little slower than usual.

The order preparation time is currently about 1 to 5 days. Then, your package is picked up by Canada Post and they are the ones who bring your goodies to you! Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the delivery time. As soon as your order is packaged and ready to be picked up at our warehouse, you will receive an email to notify you. It is in this email that you will find your tracking number.

It can take about 5-10 business days from the time you place your order to the time it arrives at your door!

How do I know if my order has been processed/shipped?
All these updates are done automatically by email. As soon as you complete your order, you will receive a confirmation email.

We will then prepare and pack your sweets. Once your small (or large) box is ready for pickup by Canada Post, you will receive another email with your tracking number. (It takes 12 to 24 hours after receiving this email for your tracking number to be active)

I would like to modify the order I just placed. How do I do this?
To help us process orders as quickly as possible, we have decided not to change any orders that have already been processed. Due to our small staff and high volume of orders, it would be too difficult to properly process each change.

We advise you to review your order and make sure you have added your promotional code before completing your transaction.
