Because our Maison Lavande is privately owned by a family who has chosen to share its beauty with the public. Over 30 employees work there every day to keep the lavender fields beautiful, accessible, safe and clean. The number of employees this year is higher than in previous years, even without any animation or activities.
Managing an agri-tourism site like ours is a challenge that requires a lot of hands. Your entrance fee goes to pay the salaries of those who warmly welcome you, gently guide you and make this place into the beauty it is.
There will be no season passes this year. However, we are working on a little something that should please our loyal visitors. Promise, we will announce it very soon!
The field is open to all and as it is very large, there is room for everyone. The blooming period starts at the end of June and usually ends at the very beginning of August.
Thank you so much for thinking of us for this most magical day. Unfortunately, we do not offer an on-site wedding ceremony/reception service.
We do admit that the plan to host your celebrations in our home is something we continuously think of (a lot), but we must juggle with several challenges that are explained here: https://www.maisonlavande.ca/blogs/blog/pourquoi-ny-a-t-il-pas-de-mariage-a-la-maison-lavande-why-is-there-no-wedding-at-maison-lavande?_pos=2&_sid=48d589d1f&_ss=r
On the other hand, if you wish to have a dream setting for your photos, it is quite possible to come and take your photos at La Maison.
No reservations are necessary. All you have to do is stop by and pay for your tickets. The field is open to everyone and since it is so large, there is room for everyone.
Yes, you can bring your own lunch & take a moment to eat in the middle of our flowery fields. Our bistro is open for refreshments during the high season (lemonade, iced coffee & lavender frozen yogurt). We have tables and chairs available, but you are welcome to bring your blankets if you feel like stretching out a bit!
Our swing is always in the fields, on the outskirts. So it's accessible when our fields are too!
Yes and no. Our site is large, therefore we have a large capacity. If all visitors are respectful of each other and maintain a distance of 2 meters, we feel that all should be well. Of course, we reserve the right to close the lavender fields if we feel that the traffic threatens the health and safety of visitors.
We would love to keep our beautiful purple patches for months, but we have to listen to our beloved flowers and harvest them before they wilt.
The store remains open all year long (!!!) Every day, from 10am to 5pm

The girls at the online store will be able to check if it is still possible to make additions, then put together a new invoice and attach it to your initial order.
Note that it is not always possible to make changes. Once the order is processed, it is challenging for us to track down your package (as it may even already be in the hands of the carrier).
First, our sincere apologies. You can send an email to boutiqueenligne@maisonlavande.ca - with your order number and a picture of the products you received. We can rectify the situation quickly.
Not at all. Don't worry; it's perfectly normal for products to freeze when exposed to such temperatures. Before our products hit the shelves, they go through tests. We subject our formulations to extreme heat and cold and measure their effectiveness after such shocks; these tests allow our products to obtain approval from Health Canada. So all there is to do is wait for the products to thaw before you can use them effectively.

Soy wax candles can sometimes seem somewhat temperamental. Let's say they require a little more patience. We recommend taking a long lighter and holding fire onto the wick, even if it seems lit (I would say a good 10 to 15 seconds more!).
Otherwise, you can try to cut the end of the wick. This sometimes helps the flame to set a little lower and start properly. Remember that the wick is actually a small piece of wood. So, a bit like a campfire, you have to work the wood properly, and you may even have to do this little process once, twice, maybe three times. I promise that it gets easier and easier after that when you get the hang of it!
Also, contrary to popular belief, soy wax can actually help the wick burn. So it's totally fine if there's a little wax on it; it won't shield the wick from the fire, but rather help the fire to start instead. And last but not least, candles have what you might call "muscle memory". From the first time it is lit, it is essential to let the wax melt to the edges of the glass. If you blow it out and the wax freezes without reaching the edges, there is a much greater chance that the candle will memorize that circumference and burn down into that area only.
Our wooden wicks stand on a base at the bottom of the pot. Therefore, it is entirely normal for a small amount of wax to be left at the very end. This is taken into consideration when pouring the amount/calculating the number of hours in action.
We recommend burning the candle for as long as possible when you see that the wax is almost finished so that you don't have to blow it out and require it to solidify again. If you don't stay on the lookout and then blow out the candle when the wick is almost gone, there is little to no chance to light it again. If you can still see a bit of wick on the metal base at the bottom of the candle, you can try to light it again for one last time.
Our trick is to start by slowly melting the wax around the wick with a long lighter (we always recommend this type of lighter for lighting our candles!). The wax that will have started to melt around the base and the wick will help the wood burn. Yup, you read that right. Contrary to popular belief, the wax allows the wood to burn. So with a bit of patience, you may be able to light your candle for one last relaxing moment. Then you can start over with a new candle from one of your favourite collections or even discover a brand new one altogether!"
Our products are always at least 95% natural, and transparency is important to us. Our products are as natural as possible while still being able to guarantee a minimum of stability.
For us, it is a priority that the customer keeps his product for at least one year without the smell, the colour, the texture or the quality being affected. The ingredients chosen are high quality and never harmful to our health. We have decided to add preservatives in the majority of our formulations to ensure stability and protect our products used on the skin from bacteria. Raw materials are a daily issue, and we make a point of continuously gaining new knowledge about any new natural alternatives available on the market.
While there is no specific danger, per se, in using lavender while pregnant, there are many schools of thought on the subject that we ask our valued customers to refer to a health care professional to make an informed decision on the matter. This way, your doctor will be able to issue recommendations based on your pregnancy and needs precisely.
Essential oils are oils extracted from plants that have therapeutic or medicinal properties in addition to smelling heavenly. On the other hand, fragrance oils are sweet combinations of synthetic fragrances. They do not have healing properties but are used to create ambiance in the home and add a dash of perfume to any room!
These two types of oils can be used on dryer balls and in electric diffusers if only a few drops are used. Both are highly concentrated. It's only up to you to discover your favorite oil!
We have since created generous sizes so you can fill the bottles with your favorite products.
